Full coeval pigskin (on wooden boards), completely hot-stamped with architectural and floral motifs and Kings and Saints representations, metal clasps (only one of both them still present), raised bands, handwritten title at the spine, (blank) library label at the spine also, sprayed fore-edges; octavo, cm 18,4 x 12,3; leaves (28) + 359 + (2b); slightly bumped and chipped binding (lacking one clasp), old ownership note anciently erased at the title page, pages very slightly browned, otherwise a very good specimen. A few woodcut initials and endings, 3/4 page woodcut depicting Saint Francis in an oval (alongside S. Anthony of Padua, Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, Saint Clare of Assisi and Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, all them in smaller circles in the corners) at leaf C3v. Very scarce edition, edited by Christophe de Cheffontaines, reporting the privileges granted to the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor by the Pope Gregory XIII
